Diwali in Germany

After a long break i still wanna to complete this blog, was pending in my drafts. This are our pics from last diwali Festival, its just Great with Bollywood music, Bhangra dances and other cultural programs. I know, I have been away for long time since i started my new job and change of place, its been great since then but only lack time and not keeping in touch on my blog. Alot of changes in life i must say first me getting more spiritual than ever which made me look at my life in completely different perspective also provide me with peace. Second due to new work place where i am enjoying happily with my new work, which btw became 3 months old for me now.

I missed to write for chirstmas and new year, this also due to our shift and delay from ISP. Finally now we got our connection. I missed my blog.

I Will be back on track from now.

Happy Diwali

My most favourite festival from since my childhood is diwali, its festival of lights. Which is today :)

Living here is not easy since we can't have all fun of festivals the way we do at our homes. Finally we content ourself with other things here with some get together and meeting ppl..

My favourite Serial

Anna und die liebe is my the favourite serial coming on German TV. Actually i haven't seen this from the time it start but it became my fav now. Interesting part of this program is the main lead(Jeanette Biedermann is Pop Singer) is silently speaking to herself and can't express her love in words to the main guy(Roy Peter Link). Another imp thing is guy looks like my favourite Actor from bollywood that's Hrithik Roshan:). Its amazing to watch every week cant wait to see everyday, unfortunately i am travelling alot for my work and wont be able to watch it everyday, good that all the episodes repeat on Saturday. First(das erst top) Knitting Top

I am good crochet that doesn't mean that i wanna to miss making really good knitting projects. I tot i knitting is quite tiresome and time consuming, but I found real good designer knitting project. I was excited to make it real fast so i found this suitable yarn and started knitting. When i started the top i was not an expert also i didn't knew even the simply techniques but i did have confidence i can find out and complete it. Of course i got stuck in between but got the help from the pattern designers. I am glad i could complete with lots of hard work. I must say its not up to my satisfaction but i guess not a bad attempt for the first time.

In Your Shoes

I was always been excited about buying new shoes as far as i could remember myself. My hubby can't understand why i need so many shoes ;)

I had long term wish to have denim skirt, finally i found this cute denim skirt from Esprit. Very Happy!!

Floral Dress

Strawberry Smoothie

Summer is a great time to make fruit drinks or milk shakes. You can use different variety of fresh fruits you can find in market. After a really hot day its definitely a pleasure to make it for yourself.

Ingredients:

1) 6 or 7 strawberries
2) 2 cups of milk
3) sugar or honey
4) vanilla ice cream
5) ice cubes

Makes two glasses. Cut strawberries into smaller pieces. Add in a blender strawberries, milk, sugar or honey, vanilla ice cream and ice cubes. Blend all together n your smoothie is ready go.

Instead of strawberries you can also use banana or mango.

Current project

As much as i love to do crochet, now i do with knitting. my idea of learning handwork was only to do knitting but i switch to crochet since its much faster and so much fun. Although i started with knitting a schal for the first time i took so much time finish(i did a lot of crochet projects which i finished earlier than this schal). After some great patterns in crochet, recently thrifting for a cute project to start with i found this great pattern but it was knitting now but still i was so much impressed that i wanna to do it anyway, ametur in knitting i didn't think i could make it to this point. Now looks like i am gonna do it. cross my fingers that the size would fit me (which i am not sure always since i just pick my a yarn and start doing). So what's this project ? this one is cute sleeveless top of course if i make it till the end, hehehheee!!!!

Surprise Gift

Well, so my b'day was over, but ya i did get a surprise gift from darling ;)..

He not even surprised me but also cheated me, told me that he is supposed to get a post and i have to receive. I didn't expect any gift that day bec it was only my official b'day.

So to my surprise i got a wonderful flower bouquet, a teddy bear, a sliver heart and a beautiful card with his msgs, my god so many gifts( i haven't got so many gifts for my bday before). Flowers are just so great, they are best thing in nature who doesn't like them. I couldn't stop smiling like next few mins, got all romantic. Btw the list didn't end there he got me also Hrithik collection of dvds :)....That's really amazing (anybody who knows me know how i admire hrithik).

See i know you wud miss me, i do too.

Happy Birthday to me

First one to send me greeting card this year is my darling, amazing :). there are so many beautiful moments we have shared and i enjoyed almost every birthday so far with him after we became friends. This year surely he is missing me more than i do, Poor guy he has to work....Thank you dear for this beautiful card, my gift is still pending you know right ?




Birthday Joke for you dear

Mom's Vegetable Rice

I like this Mom's vegetable rice recipe in fact this one is the first things i have learnt as i started cooking. Simple and fast, that's what i do find all the recipes which i can cook fast. Mostly after my work i hardly have time to cook. So this one you can make in 20 Min's.

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 half cup of cooked rice
2 potatoes cut into 2.5 cm long slices
2 carrots cut in similar size
1/2 cup of frozen peas, defrost before using
1/2 lime

2 tablespoons oil
half teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon urad dal
1 teaspoon Channa dal
2 green chilies, cut into small pieces
few curry leaves
bunch of coriander leaves

Recipe:

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, when mustard starts to crackle add urad dal, Channa dal and turmeric. Now add green chilies, curry leaves, carrots and potatoes. When potatoes and carrots are fully cooked add green peas. Fry for another 5mins. Mix cooked rice and take care not to crush the rice. Take out from the heating plate and add lemon. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.

Latest crochet project (Pink Shrug)

Hey! Here i am, took a short break and i am back here again :)

This is my latest crochet project. As i was interested to make something to wear for this summer on sleeveless i thought of making this shrug. I am not so perfect with crochet to make my own patterns ;). I am good to try any kind of crochet pattern. I really love doing crocheting, how amazing when you can make some apparels yourself :) some fashionable stuffs you make yourself.

I tried to use my left over yarn from my previous project. I liked this colour and cotton yarn, but the gauage didn't match for this pattern so i tried to adjust it myself according to my size (not that i am good at it).

missed car driving

Oops!! i missed my appointment today. last night i was thinking i am going get up at 8'o clock tomorrow but damn alarm keeps ringing i almost got up, but then slept again. I still don't know what dream caught me ;)

I hate to miss it :(.

I apologized the instructor the moment i got up and got another appointment with him. I still have theory class to attend so i did in the evening.

hope to make next time on time for the appointment. I am so much enjoying to learn car driving. Now that i understand the fundamentals of mechanics its easy to drive nevertheless still some more class to go.

Right now i need to cook somethg for myself. Damn Hungry!!!

Finally the wedding

Its a mixed kind of wedding taking some of the traditions from marwadi style and some from other caste. oh!! A real Challenge i should say, not just different traditions its completely different cultures coming together.

So the plan was then to make marwadi style reception and wedding in other style. I am happy that things went well overally with all preparations. Its small and simply wedding. Unfortunately some of our good friends couldn't come due to several reasons, i really wish so much that everybody could come, but cant help sometimes in our lives we cant expect everything we think, will happen. So in life we have to be contented with what we get.

I am so much happy for this moment in our life, it was long awaited time. Its quite obvious right ? And you can see that in my face. After all its beginning our life together :)

Wedding preparation

I can't believe its only one month for the wedding and preparations have to be done when i arrive in India. Its such a nice time i can shop so many things hehhheeeee. So to my excitement to reach my home i couldn't rest whole my flight.

One of friends the person i adore most meeting her and the family was so nice, She's the most inspiring person in my life. We went on drive and i was going outside first time after reaching India because it was too hot i didn't go out. I have to also remember all the areas and routes again within 2 years its changed a lot, everything looks different now.

Ahh Hyderabad feels so different, it's like going to new city where you don't know anything. Girls really don't walk on streets, most of them actually going by taxis or taking their own vehicles and i know another reason why some ppl have such look that they only X-ray (go damn you stare at yourself i like saying and actually I did when one guy was actually staring at me while i was in an auto. All of a sudden i just shouted at him, he was total surprised! Definitely, he does know girls can do too) Don't you feel disgusted with such ppl ? I am not used to ppl staring at me like that here and i can't take it. What a world we live in! Anyways, I am irritated with it and don't want any girl to live under the shade and keep bearing such things in their life.

So back to my preparations i have like 10 days to finish all my shopping buying Sarees, dresses, Ghagra, bangles, sandals etc. get cloths stitched. Its great to shop but not when you have less time.

I finally got rest to brain after i finished my major shopping, to my luck i found most amazing ghagra it's my sis choice when she saw the material she just loved it. I didn't how its going to look after stitching. I had no idea who is going stitch but i found some great tailor who does this thgs usually, but finally when its done its just the right one for me, thanks to my sister.

And i got this expensive saree i could imagine ahh i just loved the colour and fancy work. I tot its worth it after leaving the shop i don't want to feel i missed something nice.

Floral Camisole

One of my favourite

It's time to collect my art work. So here is a design which i did long back. this is one my favourites ;). Its again can be made on hand's and feet's. I know it isn't easy to repeat others design actual when you try by yourself. I started improving my free hand drawings like 5 years back and even now i can't repeat others designs usually. I make the curves like where they go and when i complete i amaze myself doing it. Usually i dont get design when i wanna to really put mehndi to somebody all of sudden. I guess thats a difference between make mehndi and drawing designs on paper. Your are not constrained by space when you do it on paper but on hands or legs you really need think where started bending your design.

Artistic Mehndi

I like drawing some of my own mehndi designs of course inspired by some or the other designs, they just come naturally to me and i started drawing it, this came out really well.. I find a paper a started doing. deep down sometimes when i am sad or too happy i like to do artistic work. i find myself peaceful when something is irritating happens because of others i try stop thinking about it to change my thoughts, try doing some of my own artistic stuff whether its mehndi,crafting, embrodiery or crochet or knitting. can you believe something beautiful can out of you when you are frustrated or annoyed? well it works for me see!!

This design would look great on the arm. this is definitely one of my favourite. this is from newest designs.
